Our G99 Relay Panels, commonly referred to as Secondary Phase Failure or Loss of Mains Protection, are sometimes a requirement by your DNO but falls under common and best practise on larger installations. Many Inverters nowadays have G99 Protection in built however, it’s favourable and sometimes a condition to have a single point of protection which can be independently witness tested by a test engineer.
Our Solution is built of the foundations of a PV Distribution Board with an incomer, breaking component, MCB/MCCB’s for the inverters, Surge and Fuse Protection. The key difference is we utilise the ABB CM-UFD G99 Relay, which monitors the grid for over and under voltage, changes in frequency and various other anomalies. In the event of a loss of mains situation, the inverters would be de-energised by the contactor until the fault has been cleared and grid connection is stable.
