Control Panels Warrington
PV Distribution Boards Warrington
PV Distribution Boards are essential components in solar power setups. Serving as the main connection point, they link inverters to the site’s electrical loads, guaranteeing the safe and effective distribution of energy.
What sets our products apart from typical off-the-shelf models is our capacity to incorporate a broad range of both necessary and optional elements into high-quality, pre-wired, and pre-assembled systems — essentially delivering a ready-to-use, plug-and-play solution.
These may feature, but are not limited to:
- MID Approved Generation Metering
- SolarEdge Firefighter Gateway
- SolarEdge Commercial Gateway
- G99 Protection
- Export Controls ( G100 or RPR )
- RCD Protection
G99 Relay Panels
DSH Cables & Controls has built a solid reputation in Warrington within the industry, largely due to the dependability of our G99 Relay Panels.
These panels, also referred to as Secondary Phase Failure or Loss of Mains Protection devices, may be required by your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) but are generally considered best practice for larger solar installations. While many modern inverters now come with integrated G99 protection, it is often preferable—and sometimes compulsory—to have a centralised protection unit that can be independently tested by an engineer.
Our solution is built around a PV Distribution Board framework, featuring an incomer, isolating switch, MCBs or MCCBs for the inverters, along with surge and fuse protection. What sets us apart is the incorporation of the ABB CM-UFD G99 Relay, which continuously monitors the grid for abnormalities such as over- or under-voltage, frequency shifts, and other faults. If a loss of mains occurs, the contactor disconnects the inverters until the issue is cleared and grid stability is re-established.
AC Isolators Warrington
AC Isolator Panels form a vital part of any PV installation. Although high-spec switchboards may not be necessary for every project, AC isolation remains crucial.
Our range of enclosed isolators spans from 16A up to 4000A. We use only premium-quality components in their manufacture—when it comes to essential equipment like this, there’s simply no margin for compromise.
A key benefit of enclosed isolators is their adaptability. We can customise the enclosure to accommodate any cable size you require, incorporate metering, and fit latching state contactors for manual generator intertrip functions. Each panel is tailored specifically to your system’s design, operational needs, and any site-specific constraints.
Export Limitation Warrington
The introduction of G100 Issue 2 introduced major updates to the standards necessary for system compliance.
We provide solutions for both traditional contactor-based Reverse Power Relay systems and cutting-edge G100 technology that can monitor and regulate the output of any inverter. The former presents a more cost-effective option that works alongside a manufacturer’s system, whereas the latter delivers enhanced efficiency and control.
Both methods have their benefits, and the best way to identify which is right for your requirements is to consult with one of our team members.
Metering/ Contractor Panels
Our contactor and metering panels are advanced versions of our standard AC Isolator Panels. They retain the essential AC isolation function while adding the advantages of MID Approved Metering for precise data recording, as well as contactors that provide a variety of operational features.
Metering Panels – When metering is required, you’ll often need to install an MID-approved meter somewhere in your system. We can integrate this directly into our isolator panels, saving you time on installation and wiring at site. Plus, the door-mounted MID meters look impressive on our panels. This offers a cost-effective and streamlined way to include metering, available on Mild Steel Enclosures or GRP with an IP66 Inspection Window.
Contactor Panels – Like the Metering Panels, our contactor panels offer an alternative isolation method to the conventional rotary isolator. We fit the contactor alongside a latching state momentary key switch, which is ideal if you have a backup generator or require your PV system to intertrip. The momentary key switch ensures the system won’t re-energise until trained personnel manually restart it on site.
String Boxes Warrington
DC String Junction and Combiner Boxes are increasingly taking the place of traditional DC Isolators, which have come under scrutiny following a number of significant solar fire incidents. Since most inverters already feature built-in DC isolation, our Junction and Combiner Boxes provide the flexibility to isolate individual strings and offer customised fuse protection on the positive, negative, both, or neither conductors.
Junction Boxes – These are especially valuable for clients who provide maintenance services, as they allow for isolation of single strings and help pinpoint precise fault locations. With the addition of fuse protection, carefully chosen components guided by our expert advice, and the high standards of workmanship from our team, you can be confident your system is both safe and dependable.
Combiner Boxes – Offering all the advantages of Junction Boxes, Combiner Boxes also enable multiple strings to be merged into a single armoured cable. This simplifies cable management and improves safety, particularly when dealing with lengthy cable runs.
UPS Panel Warrington (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
Our UPS system, designed by our Director Simon Holdcroft, is a pioneering battery changeover solution that allows a property’s entire electrical load to switch smoothly from the grid to battery power without any interruption or flicker.
What distinguishes our UPS system from others available is its capability to power the whole home (provided the batteries have enough charge), rather than just critical circuits. At DSH Cables & Controls, we understand that everyone has different priorities—whether you’re working from home, streaming Netflix, or washing the car, as long as there’s battery power, your supply stays continuous.
We provide options compatible with both AC and DC coupled battery storage systems.
